How to Play Rummy
The game of 13 card rummy, is the most popular version of rummy played in India. It is played between 2 to 6 players, and each player is dealt 13 cards. Based on the number of players and the format, one or two decks of 52 cards are used to play. The objective of the game is to divide your 13 cards into melds or groupings and be the first to make a valid declaration.
A valid declaration must include: at least 2 sequences, one of which has to be a pure sequence. The rest of the cards can be grouped into either sequences or sets. It is advisable to be well versed with all rummy rules before participating in real money games.
How to Play Points Rummy
Points Rummy is one of the faster variations of online rummy, as there’s only one deal in each game.
Each point has a monetary value to it. The maximum points one can lose in a game is 80, so your total Buy-In would be: 80 × (value of one point). For example, if 1 point = ₹0.05, your Buy-In would be: 80 × ₹0.05 = ₹4.
Dropping in the first turn costs 20 points, while dropping midway costs 40 points. The winner of the game gets a cash reward worth all the remaining players’ points.
How to Play Pool Rummy
RummyCulture offers three variations of Pool Rummy: 61 Pool, 101 Pool, and 201 Pool. Players are eliminated when their score reaches 61, 101, or 201, respectively, and the last man standing wins. It is played between 2 to 6 players. These games have a fixed Buy-In, and the prize pool is calculated as: (Number of players) × (Buy-In) - (RummyCulture’s fee).
Winners can take the full prize or split it with the remaining players (if less than 3), based on their points. A split can only happen if agreed upon by all remaining players. A rejoin option is available by paying the Buy-In again, with the highest points on the table plus one. So if the highest points amongst the remaining players is 20, a player would rejoin at 21 points.
How to Play Deals Rummy
There are 3 variations of Deals Rummy on RummyCulture: 2 players-1 deal, 2 players-2 deals, and 6 players-3 deals. The Buy-In for all these variations ranges from ₹5 to ₹20,000.
The 2 players-1 deal is the fastest variation.
Here, the number of deals is predetermined and all the players are dealt the same number of chips. At the end of each deal, the winner gets the chips based on the points of the ungrouped cards of the remaining players. Just like Points Rummy, dropping in the first turn costs 20 points, while dropping midway costs 40 points.
The player with the highest number of chips at the end of all the deals is considered the winner.
